From the Alton Democrat, Alton, (Sioux), Iowa, Friday, February 24, 1928, Page 10, Column 6:

Miss Grace Heemstra, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Heemstra and John R. Van Pelt, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Van Pelt, were married at the American Reformed church parsonage Thursday last at ten o'clock A. M. Rev. Dykstra performed the ceremony in the presence of immediate relatives. The bride was becomingly gowned in Alice blue silk with silver trimmings and silver accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Van Pelt left at noon for a two weeks visit with relatives at Monroe, S. D. The will go to housekeeping March 1st on a farm near Hospers.
