Employment: Farmer’s wife, working alongside Marvin doing the milking, planting row crops, walking beans and cutting thistles, and helping with the cow-calf operation; also raised registered German Shepherd dogs. Later, she worked as a cook at Elk Horn-Kimballton (IA) Community Schools for 21 years.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, Elk Horn Saddle Club; she volunteered at many blood mobiles in Elk Horn, IA, and for nearly 35 years, she volunteered as a cook in the food stand at the Cass County Fair; enjoyed camping, looked forward to the annual Labor Day Family Reunion at Black Hawk Lake in Lakeview, IA, but mostly enjoyed time spent with family. With Marvin, they enjoyed time at Blue Grass Festivals, and after his passing, she took numerous bus trips to Branson, MO.
