This musical heritage sparked in Betty a passion for music that would be with her all her life. She became a treasured and accomplished pianist and organist in the community, sharing her talent at church services, weddings, funerals, and even the Iowa Governor's Prayer Breakfast. Betty also had exceptional culinary skills.
