Employment: After her first year at college, she was employed by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, Harlan, IA, in 1943 and continued working there until her marriage in 1947. After her marriage, she became a farmer’s wife.

Hobbies/Interests: Helen made time to be involved in numerous family, church, and community activities: 4-H leader, Catechism teacher, church organist for over 60 years, and DCCW (Diocesan Council of Catholic Women), to name a few. She didn't know a stranger, and her work at the Welcome Center in Walnut after Glen's passing meant meeting new people and connecting with old friends.
