Survived by: Husband of 55 years, Perry Kelley Sr. of Walnut, IA; children, Connie (spouse, Kevin) Paulsen of Anita, IA, Perry, Jr. (spouse, Mary Ellen) Kelley of Harlan, IA, Jerry (spouse, Karen) Kelley of Harlan, IA, and Larry Kelley of Council Bluffs, IA; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harold (spouse, Gretchen) Kelley of Newton, IA; other family members and friends

Education: Graduated from Walnut High School, Class of 1957; in those years, Lila was on the state 6 on 6 girls basketball team for Walnut High School and was involved in 4-H.

Religious affiliation: Baptized and confirmed at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed Lutheran Church, Walnut, IA; after joining the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, IA, she was a member of the ladies circle.

Employment: After her high school graduation, Lila was employed by the Farm Service Co-op, Harlan, IA, for a year. Was a homemaker while their children were growing up on their farm; she also did chores for the various animals and poultry they raised on their farm, as well as helping with the field work, growing a big garden for canning, and freezing. While Perry worked in the town, Lila farrowed pigs and sold them at the Avoca (IA) sale barn. In addition, for more than 30 years, she helped at Mickels restaurant doing catering jobs.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed socializing at the Saturday Night Couples Pinochle Card Club and the Tuesday Ladies Chatter Club
