Hobbies/Interests: Loved making quilts, doing counted cross-stitch, and painting ceramics; being a farmer’s wife, she gardened and canned many vegetables and fruits, raised laying hens and delivered eggs, and raised and butchered broiler chickens; she participated with the Panama Community Chorus, volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Mobile, and designed and quilted countless quilts for Micah House in Council Bluffs, IA, a homeless and emergency shelter servicing families and women.
