Employment: His vocation as a mechanic allowed him to use his skills in various automotive, diesel, and marine shops, working on cars, trucks, tractors, boats and tugs. He transitioned to becoming a truck driver/mechanic for Ruan Transport, Ryder Trucking, International Harvester, Amoco Trucking, Erickson Transport, and Carpenter Liquid Transport and earned many awards for safe driving.

Hobbies/Interests: When he was growing up, he was a member of FFA and 4-H and raised sheep, for which he earned top awards and trophies. When his sons were of the age, he became a Boy Scout leader and helped his sons and other scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed lending a helping hand on the farm, supporting his family in their activities from Scouting, 4-H, FFA, sports and school events. Mostly, he loved spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories.
