Employment: In 1971, after moving to Harlan, IA, Patty helped Dick with the bookkeeping at Pauley Funeral Home. After they divorced, she worked in the superintendent’s office at Harlan (IA) High School. In 1997, she moved to Lake Minnewashta in Arnold Park, IA at Lake Okoboji, IA. She spent many years driving to and from Harlan, IA where she worked for her daughter, Dede, at Western Iowa Medical Supply.

Hobbies/Interests: In Arnold Park, she was very active in community beautification committees, kayaking groups, and campaigning for her best friend, Mardi Allen, County Supervisor for Dickinson County, IA; enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was working in her yard or sitting on the deck watching the boats and birds; loved to travel; at the end of the day, she would also enjoy a “hot-toddy” while working on completing a puzzle.
