Employment: After finishing high school, Dean began working for Farm Service Coop, Harlan, IA, Peterson Brothers Feed and Grain, Harlan, IA, and other various farmers. Farming became his passion and he purchased his first farm north of Jacksonville, IA. In 1969, Dean and Jane moved west of Elk Horn, IA where they farmed and raised dairy cattle. In 1985, he retired from farming, moved to Elk Horn, IA, and began working for Wilson’s Seeds (later Remington Seeds). In 2015, he retired completely.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching sports and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones, the Kansas City Chiefs and the LA Dodgers. Mostly, he loved time spent with family.
