Employment: After completing high school, she moved to Springfield, MO and worked at several large restaurants. Additionally, she was also the co-owner of Pied Pipers Inn in Springfield, MO and occasionally assisted other lounge owners by bartending and working as a cocktail waitress. After moving to Harlan, IA in 1980, she was employed by West Central Community Action for more than 25 years; she retired in 2008.

Hobbies/Interests: After the passing of her long-time companion, Ken Richards, in 1998, she was very active in Relay for Life; she also spent time as a hospice volunteer.; loved working in her yard and gardening; mostly, she loved time spent with family
