Later employed with Squealer Feeds, Farmland Foods, Long Horn Chemical and, lastly, Packer’s Sanitation Services at Dubuque (IA) Packing, he traveled to 54 different packing plants in the country associated with Packer’s Sanitation Services. He was proud of the continuing education he took through seminars. After marrying Ruth in 1990, they moved to Vail, IA and opened “Jack’s Place.” In 1992, they sold the bar and moved to Harlan, IA. Ron was involved in a near-fatal automobile accident forcing him to retire at 54 years old.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed the local casinos and playing slot machines; loved discussing classic cars, listening to music, and watching WWE wrestling. Mostly, he loved time spent with family.
