Education: Attended country school through grade 8, and then attended St. Mary’s High School, Panama, IAl; in the fall of 1960, he went off to college seminary at Conception Abbey Seminary, Conception, MO. Following those 4 years, he was sent to Mount St. Bernard’s Seminary, Dubuque, IA. Fr. Don was ordained June 2, 1968 at St. Ambrose Cathedral, Des Moines, IA

Employment: After his ordination in 1968, he served at All Saints Catholic Church, Des Moines, IA and then at Christ the King, also in Des Moines. He was mostly in country parishes and spent many of his years in the southern tier of counties of the Des Moines (IA) Diocese. Fr. Don retired in July 2011.

Hobbies/Interests: Fr. Don belonged to a Jesus Caritas, a priest support group, since 1974.
