Religious affiliation: Baptized at the Monroe (IA) Evangelical Free Church; was confirmed at the Lutheran church while she and Gene were living in Atlantic, IA, and was very active in the church: she taught Sunday school and served as president and treasurer of the Ladies' Aid organization, served on the church council as stewardship head and as secretary. She was a member of the church prayer group and many other groups.
