Education: Attended country school No. 1 in Lincoln Township, Shelby County, IA for 2 years and then attended Tennant (IA) Consolidated School, graduating with the Class of 1957. She played basketball from middle school through high school and was also a cheerleader. She was a member of the Lincoln Leaders 4-H club. After high school, she attended Dana College, Blair, NE for a year, where she also played on the girls' varsity basketball team.

Religious affiliation: Baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA; later, she spent her adult life attending Altamont Baptist Church, Harlan, IA

Military service: n/a

Marriage: John Knudson; Feb. 18, 1962; Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA

Employment: Farmer’s wife; she also raised a large flock of laying hens and sold eggs, had a large garden, and helped her husband John with the farming and caring of livestock until he died in 2007. She continued her life on the farm as she went on to help her son, Gaige, as he took over farming. She retired in 2021 at age 82.

Hobbies/Interests: With her husband, they enjoyed attending dances and were members of the Corley (IA) Community Hall for many years; whether it was Harlan sports events, Wayne State football games or Atlantic, IA music concerts, Pat would attend as many as possible; she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and attended most all the various activities they were involved in.
