Survived by: Wife of 50 years, Mary Anne of Lander, WY; son, Paul of Cody, WY and his children, Landon, Porter and Dawson; son, Brodie (spouse, Amy) of Eden Prairie, MN and their children, Carter and Maggie; siblings, Martha Bissen, Verla Mumm, Merv Nelson, Pat Kuether and Judy Jones; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Gilbert F. and Lidwina (nee Eisterhold) Rau; siblings, Dorothy Gaul, Mamie Grote, Mike Rau, Leo Rau, Zita Bruck, Alma Kramer, Leonard Rau, Sr., Lita Rau, and Jeanette Mikels

Education: Graduating from Manilla High School, Manilla, IA.

Religious affiliation: Active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lander, WY; lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5447 at Holy Rosary and was a lifetime member of the 4th Degree of the Knights, having served many officer roles

Military service: Drafted by the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War; served his country proudly for 2 years. Honorably discharged.

Marriage: Mary Anne Gianola; Nov. 25, 1972; Kemmerer, WY

Employment: After his high school graduation, Gil was hired by Union Pacific Railroad to work as a communication lineman and work between Omaha, NE and Ogden, UT. His employment was interrupted by his military service. After being discharged, Gil began his 34-year career with Mountain Bell and all its subsequent corporate changes which brought him to Lander, WY.

Hobbies/Interests: Riding his motorcycle, making wine, brewing beer, and photography; also enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and landscaping; lifetime member of the local American Legion
