Employment: Self-employed and started his business, Klein Refrigeration and Electric. After first being a residential electrician, he also sold and repaired appliances; later, he expanded his expertise in HVAC as part of his business. Later, in the 1980s, Dick and Julie purchased rental properties in Omaha and enjoyed working on them together on the weekends. Dick sold his electrical business in 2002 and then went to work for Nebraska Furniture Mart for 10 years. He retired fully in 2014.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed fishing trips with friends, golfing, road-trips with family and day trips with Julie; loved to garden, cook and grill food, and do yard work. Was a handyman and could figure out how to fix almost anything.
