Employment: After receiving her teaching degree, Barb taught in Canton, SD for a year before accepting a position in Irwin, IA, where she met her future husband; was one of a handful of teachers to be recognized as a Master Teacher in Iowa. She retired in 1995.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed traveling – one highlight was receiving the Pope’s blessing in the Vatican; she also had the opportunity to have seen the newly-crowned Queen Elizabeth; volunteered many places including the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary in Orr, MN and Custer State Park in South Dakota and at the Lied Irwin (IA) Public Library for many years; member of several clubs over the years
