Education: Attended a one-room country school for their elementary education and then completed her high school education at St. Mary's boarding school in O'Neill, NE; she graduated with the Class of 1956. She then attended the College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE and in 1960, she earned her elementary education degree; she earned her master's degree from Omaha (NE) University in 1967.

Religious affiliation: Faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Stuart, NE; later, she was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avoca, IA where she served as a lector, Eucharistic minister, CCD teacher and served on the parish council.

Employment: After achieving her degree, Eileen taught in Omaha, NE and Aurora, CO; after her marriage, she taught at Underwood and Tri-Center schools, IA. After her children grew older, Eileen taught at Oakland (IA) elementary school, was a substitute teacher at area schools and worked at REM-Leadway

Hobbies/Interests: An avid reader; Husker football; enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's activities; crafting with diamond art and learning to play Wordle; she enjoyed maintaining friendships through letter writing, and more recently Facebook and FaceTime.
