Employment: Began his law enforcement career with the Shenandoah (IA) Police Department before moving to Harlan (IA) in 1976 where he joined the Harlan Police Department; he finished his career with the Shelby County (IA) Sheriff's Office in 1998. He then followed his passion into woodworking before eventually entering the construction field. In 2002, Brad suffered a traumatic brain injury in his construction work which forced him to retire. Brad went on to do part time jobs and was proud of helping his brother with his carpet cleaning business, McQueen's Carpet Cleaning. For the past few golf seasons, he enjoyed the summer months spent mowing the grounds.
