Employment: After leaving school, Lois worked at a Onawa (IA) café for a time; then, during the following summer, Lois and Dorothy Domina roomed together and detasseled corn. That fall she moved back to Turin, IA, and got a job working at the restaurant for a few months. After her marriage, she was a farmer’s wife and raised their children. She later ran a daycare for 20 years.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, playing solitaire, doing word searches, puzzles, and reading Christian books; crocheted baby blankets for any new baby that came along
