Hobbies/Interests: Was a 4-H leader and coach for the chicken judging team that advanced to the Iowa State Fair; he also judged chickens at the County Fair level; played “Santa” to many children for more than 40 years; loved gardening, mowing the yard, and playing cards with friends; with Lois, he enjoyed traveling, and during their later years they took bus trips around the country. They also hosted 2 foreign exchange students from Germany.
