They raised chickens, hogs, stock and milk cows. Mildred was usually found somewhere in her large gardens, feeding animals or in her kitchen.

Hobbies/Interests: Baking; canning; sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren; was also a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader.
