Survived by: Wife of 60 years, Jane Jensen of Harlan, IA; daughter, Janeen (spouse, Stan) Marean of Omaha, NE; sons, Jerry (spouse, Joyce) Jensen of Cedar Rapids, IA, and John (spouse, Joyce) Jensen of Galena, MO; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; other family members and friends

Education: Attended Rabbit Hollow Country School, Audubon County, IA; he graduated from Elk Horn (IA) High School, Class of 1954; he played baseball while in high school. Following high school, he went to Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis, MN, for 1 year, and also played baseball there.
Religious affiliation: Member, First Baptist Church, Harlan, IA; he was a Deacon there
Military service: U. S. National Guard, 1958-1964
Marriage: Jane Lavonne Graves; Dec. 23, 1959; Altamont Baptist Church, rural Shelby County, IA
Employment: While attending school in Minneapolis, Jim participated in the St. Louis Cardinals training camp before returning home to farm. After he was married, he and Jane dairy farmed with Jim’s father south of Elk Horn, IA; in 1967, they moved to the Graves Century Farm located west of Jacksonville, IA and he farmed this land until his death.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed camping, carpentry, and doing electrical work
