Employment: After becoming a nurse, she began working at Children’s Hospital and was promoted to head nurse after a short few years. Later, she worked at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, IA. She stayed at home while raising her children, but then began working at Salem Nursing Home until she retired.

Hobbies/Interests: loved nature and all its elements, and to draw, shop, take pictures and to sew; enjoyed time spent with her card club; mostly, she loved time spent with her grandchildren
