Employment: After his marriage, Marvin began working for Brown Oil Company, Avoca, IA, and then managed a gas station, also in Avoca. After his marriage to Elizabeth, they moved to Omaha, NE, where Marvin began working in sales. After living there for several years, they moved to North Platte, NE, where he became top salesman for Huskey Oil Company. After Huskey Oil closed, Marvin and his family returned to Iowa and settled in Atlantic. He was kept busy managing the Walnut Grove apartments for many years before his retirement.

Hobbies/Interests: His family raised greyhounds for racing while he was growing up; he was especially proud of his dog that won a race in Kansas.
