Military service: U. S. Army Reserves, 1959 - 1965

Marriage: Jolene Wilwerding; April 30, 1960; Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Woodbine, IA; while living in Panama, IA, he served on the Parish Council, was head of the Parish Picnic, and served as President of the Community Club.

Employment: After finishing high school, Ed was employed at various jobs, including at Paramounty Paper Products, Omaha, NE; he began farming in 1960. They moved to Omaha, NE in 1964, where Ed was employed by Duchesne College and Academy. He returned to farming in 1969 in Panama, Shelby County, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: farming; gardening; puzzles; spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren
