Education: Graduated from Roosevelt High School, Des Moines, IA, with the Class of 1962

Religious affiliation: Member, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Des Moines; she became of member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Adair, IA, after her marriage to Harold

Military service: Member, Coast Guard Auxiliary; she assisted them for many years with safety training programs

Employment: After high school, she began employment at Meredith Corporation in Des Moines as a key punch operator before becoming a computer programmer, managing magazine fulfillment systems, at one time managing the largest list of electronically managed names and addresses in the world for publications. Linda was then employed by Electronic Data Systems, Des Moines, and worked there for more than 40 years there until her retirement.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, Willing Workers Club; loved to travel; loved plowing snow with her Jeep while living in Des Moines; enjoyed sailing; wintering in Arizona with Harold; canning; gardening; reading; animals, especially cats having rescued many; time spent with family and friends
