Funeral services: Wednesday, March 20, 2019; Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA; burial was in the Harris Grove Cemetery, Logan, IA

Survived by: Sons, Larry Heim (spouse, Deb) of Algona, IA and Roger Heim (spouse, Kim) of Chariton, IA; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Scott and Louise (nee Goersch) Kirk; husband, Bill

Education: Attended country school in Keya Paha County, NE through the grade 8 and then attended and graduated from Springview (NE) High School, Class of 1942. After high school, Ida attended business school in Omaha, NE.

Religious affiliation: Long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA, and was active with the mission quilt group and the Immanuel Lutheran Church Women’s group there.

Marriage: Harry William “Bill” Heim; Oct. 4, 1945; Kountz Memorial Lutheran Church, Omaha, NE

Employment: After attending business school after high school, Ida was employed by Mutual of Omaha in Omaha, NE, and worked there for 2 years. After her marriage, she and Bill farmed at their home between Logan and Persia, IA. In 1993, they retired from farming and then moved to Harlan in 1995.

Hobbies/Interests: Was active with their sons’ activities, including as a den mother in Cub Scouts. In addition, Ida served on the Harrison County 4H Board, and was also named Homemaker of the Year by the Harrison County Extension Service.
