Survived by: Children, Janet (spouse, Byron) Linden of Moville, IA, Lauree (spouse, John) James of Perkins, OK, Rachel (spouse, Kurt) Vollers of Central City, NE, Philip Graves (spouse, Janet) of Bovill, ID, and Paul Graves (spouse, Harriet) of Lowell, MI; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and friends

Education: Attended grade school at Eagleville, MO; graduated from Harlan (IA) High School. She then attended Normal Teacher’s College to begin teaching school.

Religious affiliation: Leona taught in her church's Vacation Bible School as well as teaching Sunday school.

Marriage: Horace Philip Graves; Nov. 27, 1949; Merrill's Grove Church, Fiscus, IA

Employment: After attending Normal Teacher’s College, she taught country school near Fiscus for 3 years; then, following her marriage, she farmed with her husband. Later, she received training in Home Health Care and served families in Shelby County. Later, she worked in the deli at the Hy-Vee grocery store in Harlan, IA

Hobbies/Interests: Leona served for several years in the Iowa Farm Bureau and also managed their yearly craft fair. In the summer, Leona helping at the Shelby County fair in the baking and canning departments.
