Marriage: Frieda Herta Schörner; Aug. 16, 1960; Oberkotzau, Germany
Employment: For a couple of years after high school, Everett helped his father on the family farm. Then, after his marriage and return to Harlan, IA from Germany in 1961, the couple farmed northeast of town and raised hogs, as well as helping Everett’s parents farm the family land. He also helped other family members in the area and had other employment. Everett then began working for Western Electric in Millard, NE; he remained in this job for 36 years. In the fall of 1970, Everett and Frieda moved to a farm outside of McClelland, IA, where Everett continued to farm, raise hogs and cattle, and work at Western Electric.
Hobbies/Interests: An avid John Deere collector; loved to attend farm auctions and antique tractor and engine shows
