Employment: Initially, Bryan’s first job was at Harlan Contracting. Bryan was a people-person and was gifted at being able to talk to anyone; this made him effortlessly qualified for customer service positions, like working at the Kum and Go convenience stores in several locations in Iowa. After his marriage, Bryan was employed at Banker’s Life and Casualty as an insurance agent for a few years before going to work at Levine’s and Deter’s car sales until May 1996; at that time, he opened and operated “The Car Guys” in partnership with Roger Poulsen.

Hobbies/Interests: member, Iowa Independent Auto Dealers Association; a nature lover, he enjoyed being outdoors and doing outdoor activities, particularly fishing. He was a strong family man and spent countless hours and weekends outdoors with his son.
