Employment: Farmer; farmed northeast of Irwin, IA, growing corn and soybeans, raising cattle, hogs, chickens, and milking cows. They continued farming until 1974, when they moved to Irwin. After the move, Glen continued to custom combine for many years. He worked for a time for Robinson’s Implement Company in Irwin, served as the town maintenance man for 10 years, and operated the Eastside Cafe for several years. After the cafe shut down, Huey and Velma donated the building to the town of Irwin to be used as the town museum.

Hobbies/Interests: active member of the Greenridge Farm community; he loved farming, but also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing, and making homemade ice cream
