Education: Graduated from Elementary Horn-Kimballton High School, Class of 1936; was Salutotorian of her class

Religious affiliation: baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kimballton, IA; active member of the First United Methodist Church in Harlan, IA and was a member of the church choir as an adult. She received recognition at the church for her volunteer work and positions, having had been an active member for over 70 years.

Hobbies/Interests: Avid sports fan, particularly of golfing, baseball, and basketball. As a golfer, she had won 9 golf championships, including a hole-in-one, at the Harlan (IA) Golf and Country Club. Loved the Yankees and spent many weekends watching them at the Royals stadium; she also enjoyed following the NBA and the San Antonio Spurs. She was proud of her Danish heritage and stayed involved in preserving family memories and artifacts.
