Employment: Following high school, Ken farmed near Buck Grove, IA. Several years later, he began his career working in land and soil conservation for the U. S. Department of Agriculture. After completing his college degree, he became the District Conservationist for Webster County, IA, a position he held until his retirement in 1987. After that retirement, he bought farmed for 13 years before again retiring.
