Employment: After graduation, he held jobs in Chicago, IL, El Segundo, CA, and Denver, CO, until he moved back to Defiance, IA to work in the construction business. After their marriage, Jeanette and Bob operated a farm from 1954 to 1970. In 1969, Bob began working for the Federal Housing Administration as a construction inspector. This career resulted in a move to Storm Lake, IA, and eventually Ankeny, IA, where he worked in the Federal Building in Des Moines, IA; he retired in 1990 and returned to Defiance, IA.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball, having played on the Defiance (IA) town team for many years of his adult life; was also an avid fisherman, hunter and woodworker.
