Employment: Farmer; farmed in Cass County, IA until 1964, and then purchased a farm from his father-in-law in Shelby County, IA; they resided there until moving to Elk Horn, IA in 1984.

Hobbies/Interests: member, Elk’s Club; member, Elk Horn American Legion Post #322; served on the cemetery board for 18 years; helped erect the Danish Windmill and Elk Horn, IA swimming pool. Enjoyed card parties, bowling, and tractor rides; looked forward to daily visits to the coffee shop; treasured time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
