Employment: While in high school, Nancy worked as an intern at the Harlan (IA) newspapers. After graduation, she was a secretary at Mutual of Omaha, in Omaha, NE. After her marriage, she farmed with her husband, and they also ran a cattle operation until retiring in 1980.

Hobbies/Interests: gardening, cooking, bingo, visiting the casino or attending the horse races; was an avid sports fan, and loved watching her children and then grandchildren compete in sports at their high schools and colleges. Lifetime member, VFW Post 941 Auxiliary.
