Hobbies/Interests: socializing; fishing; occasionally going to the dog races; snowmobiling; the CB club; catching, skinning, stretching and selling furs they caught on their trap line; flea markets, garage sales, and auctions where they bought and sold items; gardening; canning; never missed an Irwin (IA) girls’ basketball game in the 6 years their daughter, Connie, played the center forward. She volunteered at the Senior Center and was involved in fund-raising efforts there, was a member of the Greenridge Club; did filet crochet, creating beautiful pieces of art; was an accomplished seamstress, making quilts and sewing clothing. She also helped her daughter and her friends in 4-H.
