Survived by: Daughter, Debra Hipnar of Omaha, NE; son, Mike (spouse, Carla) Hipnar and granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley, all of Council Bluffs, IA; brothers, Glen (spouse, Marlene) Hipnar of Shelby, IA and Larry (spouse, Peggy) Hipnar of Blair, NE; nieces and nephews; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Carl and Meta (nee Luth) Hipnar; wife, Marlene (deceased Sep. 25, 1996)

Military service: Drafted, U. S. Army; served honorably during the Korean Conflict until his discharge

Employment: Farmer; he later began working for Zimmerman Farm Supply, helping with construction of grain bins on farms throughout southwest Iowa; later, he worked for the Pottawattamie County Road Department until his retirement.

Hobbies/Interests: enjoyed working in his flower garden; attending garage sales and flea markets, collecting antique tools and then selling them at the Carstens Farm Days Celebration; making homemade wooden yard ornaments; volunteering at the Farmall Museum in Avoca, IA
