In 2015, the IA Secretary of Agriculture and President of the IA Farm Bureau presented a Century Farm Award to Kwapi Farms, LLC, for owning and operating the Panama farm since 1892.

Hobbies/Interests: Spoke fluent German; loved to whistle; enjoyed farming, enjoyed going to dances at the Peony Park Ballroom in Omaha, NE. After he retired in his early 60's, he began taking international trips.
