Hobbies/Interests: His interest in soil conservation began when he was a young farmer: in 1941, Don started to put in terraces with a plow on his dad’s farm, and he was one of the first farmers in the area to utilize the farming practices of minimum till, ridge till and no till. Don was very conscientious regarding soil conservation and did everything he could to preserve the land.
