Employment: taught second grade in Jefferson, IA, for 1 year and in Harlan, IA for 1 year; after she was married, she was a homemaker and later a secretary for Plumb Hybrids

Hobbies/Interests: loved pets, and helped her kids raise Shelties for 4H projects; also loved horses and helping sick animals get well. Loved going to the zoo. She also volunteered frequently at the Tennant Methodist Church, for the Shelby-Tennant School band, as a leader for the Lincoln Bluebirds 4H Club, at the hospital gift shop, and at various activities in the Harlan Methodist Church. She enjoyed attending auctions, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with Don.
