Survived by: Wife of 67 years, Hazel Muller of Harlan, IA; daughters, Mary Jo Muller (spouse, Rick Eggleston) and Linda (spouse, Bruce) Mayer, both of TX, and Judy (spouse, Bryan) Patrick of AZ; grandsons, Christopher Mayer and Jonathan Mayer, both of TX; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Walter Earl and Catherine Josephine (nee Miller) Muller; sister, Aldine Nordgren-Baxter

Education: attended Fairview #3 country school (Shelby County, IA) through Grade 6, and then to Fairview #2 school in Corley, IA (Shelby County), for Grades 7 and 8; he finished his education at the Harlan (IA) High School, graduating with the Class of 1943

Military service: enlisted in the U. S. Navy Air Corps and served at many bases in the U. S. He served as a top turret gunner on a PV-1.

Marriage: Hazel Emma Bauer; Feb. 18, 1948; St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Harlan, IA

Employment: After completing his military service, he worked for a while as both a carpenter and a mechanic. In 1948, he began farming.

Hobbies/Interests: loved hunting and trapping; socializing; enjoyed traveling after he retired, including to Scotland, Germany and Hawaii. Member, Helmer Reyelt American Legion Post #150
