Employment: After completing his military service, he returned to Shelby County and drove a truck for Ray Thielen for 10 years; he then moved to Omaha, NE, where he continued driving truck for various companies, including Schaffer Oil, Lyman Richey, Mel Drackulich Trucking, and Flinn Paving. He then worked at the A-1 Discount Center before retiring in 2011.
Hobbies/Interests: enjoyed visiting tractor museums, attending thrashing bees, and attending the Greenridge Steam and Gas Antique Show annually in Irwin, IA; member of both the VFW and American Legion in Omaha, NE.
