Education: attended school at Hamlin Township and Jackson Township Country Schools, IA; Lucille earned her GED while living in CA between 1954 and 1963.

Religious affiliation: member, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimballton, IA since 1944, where she taught Sunday School for 2 years.

Marriage: Edward Lee Evans; eloped Feb. 24, 1948; Bentonville, AR

Employment: farmed with spouse before moving to CA. in 1954; after their return to IA in 1963, she worked 6 years as a nurse at the Heritage House.

Hobbies/Interests: loved to cook, make salsa, and bake pies. Lucille enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and canning the produce from it.
