Military service: Louis enlisted in April 1945 in the U.S. Army at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. While in the Army, Louis served 13 months at Okinawa. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 29, 1946, at Ft. Sheridan, IL, having attained the rank of Corporal.

Employment: farmed for over 50 years, raising crops and livestock
