Survived by: Son, Robert Scott (spouse, Laraine) of Avoca, IA; son-in-law, Delman Piittmann (spouse, Norma) of Albany, IL; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Scott of Bettendorf, IA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alta Hansen of Walnut, IA and Wilma Throener of West Point, NE; brother, Delnar Hamdorf of Morrison, CO; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends

Employment: farmed their entire married life; retired in 1979.

Hobbies/Interests: member of the neighborhood Sunshine Seekers Club; she was an excellent cook and was known for her walnut cakes, chocolate chip pie, her fried chicken and, a family favorite, her homemade bread. She helped Howard on the farm with their livestock and was a hard worker. Orlene was known as a loving but firm mother and grandmother.
