A Celebration of Life for 67 year old Suzanne Kelly of Vail will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 30 at the Vail Community Building in Vail. She passed away on Friday, March 22 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison. Survivors include 1 daughter, Dawn (Dan) Segebart of Vail; 2 sons: Eric Kelly of Vail and Matt Kelly of Omaha,NE; 3 Grandchildren; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; other relatives and friends. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements.

Suzanne Kelly, 67 of Vail, died Friday, March 22, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospitalin Denison.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Vail Community Building.

The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Dawn, of Vail; two sons, Eric, of Vail, and Matt, of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren; three brothers, Lyle, of Surprise, Arizona, Paul, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and Rick, of Minnesota City, Minnesota; and four sisters, Judith, of Omaha, Nebraska, Patty, of Westside, Gerri, of Vail, and Kathy, of Stuart.

Obituary for Suzanne Kelly
Suzanne Lucille Kelly was born March 9, 1946, the daughter of Fritz and Berniece Keiner Thomsen. She passed away, Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 67.

Suzanne was born in Denison, Iowa. She received her education in the Ar-We-Va Community Schools graduating with the class of 1964. After high school Suzanne worked at Baluchi’s Pizza in Denison. On March 11, 1972, Suzanne was united in marriage to John Kelly in Denison and to this union was born three children. She worked for Helen Lapel in the furniture upholstering business, did some babysitting, and took care of her family.

Suzanne loved her family and the time spent with her grandchildren was very special to her. They had many good times around the bonfire at Grandma’s house. Suzanne was a woman of solitude and a very forthright person that would tell you just how things were without mincing words. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of the flowers on her patio and listening to music by The Beatles. Some of her favorite programs to watch on television were Little House on the Prairie and The Antiques Road Show.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Thomsen; and one sister, Linda Bell. Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Segebart and her husband, Dan of Vail, Iowa; two sons: Eric Kelly of Vail and Matt Kelly of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Jacob Kelly, Henry Segebart and Marissa Kelly; three brothers: Lyle Thomsen and his wife, Marcia of Surprise, Arizona; Paul Thomsen and his wife, Denise of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Rick Thomsen and his wife, Barb of Minnesota City, Minnesota; four sisters: Judith Messenbrink and her husband, Bill of Omaha, Nebraska; Patty Siebert and her husband, Larry of Westside, Iowa; Gerri Boeck of Vail; Kathy Huff and her husband, Craig of Stuart, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
