Obituary:
Velma E. Nielsen, age 90, longtime Underwood, Iowa resident, passed away Monday at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Velma was born July 11, 1922, in Persia, Iowa, to James and Alvina (Thompson) Kuhl and graduated from Persia High. Velma was a member of Underwood Lutheran Church and was active in many of their activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond, and son Raymond, Jr., both in 1992.

Velma leaves to mourn her children, Carol Ann Emmi and husband Tom, Donald Raymond Nielsen and wife Michelle, James Eugene Nielsen and wife Goldie, Mary Ellen Bondi and husband Joe; daughter-in-law Christy; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Follis; nieces and nephews.

Memorials:
Memorials are suggested to Underwood Lutheran Church.

Visitation:
Visitation with the family one hour prior to the service.

Service:
Funeral Service Friday, 1:00 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel.

Cemetery:
Interment Fisher Cemetery, Underwood, Iowa, followed by a luncheon and fellowship at Underwood Lutheran Church.
