Susan Rosa Kinnersley was born April 4, 1949, the daughter of Marty and Leone Johnson Benedickt. She passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-three.

Susan was born in Dunlap, Iowa. She attended Dunlap Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1969. After graduation, Susan was a nanny in Omaha.

Susan enjoyed socializing and always looked forward to visits from her children and grandchildren. She had only one granddaughter, Nyla, and her five grandsons, Jeremy, Victor, Anthony, Zach, and Cole, so the time they spent together was very special. She was handy and creative and liked to make crafts and decorate with them. One of her favorite craft projects was to paint bowling balls that adorned the yard. She also liked to tend to her flower gardens. Susan was a quilter and had made each of her children their own special quilt. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading magazines and watching movies, especially comedies.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe; and one son, Shane. She is survived by two daughters, Kristine and Heather; one son, David and his fiancé, Brandy; six grandchildren; three sisters, Pat; Jean and her husband, Ventura; and Lois and her husband, Vernon; other relatives and friends.
